Wheres PERRY ?
Perry acts like his fairy Sky Daddy: all in your face annoying the hell out of you when it suits them, but conveniently disappearing when 'tough' questions are asked...
there's simply no way to honestly deny that the ot condones genocide, slavery and misogyny.
there are too many passage showing yahweh commanding his people to wipe out this nation and that nation - women and innocent children included!
it leaves us with a god who wrote a book that very, very, very much seems like it condones genocide, but it doesn't, etc.. what kind of god does that?

judge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.
Good news! Unfortunately most dubs will never hear about this....
i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.
@Cofty,
I agree with what you are saying, but strictly speaking you're wrong anyway
Centuries before the Bible was written people were helped by their gods just as rebelfighter was helped by her god.
And even now there are countries full of people who have no clue about the Bible but believe in all kinds of gods.
So everyone can claim anything about any God...with or without Bible or religion. It just doesn't make sense.
i was asked to view the video “dear believer, why do you believe?” i said i would and i would publish my comments about it.
so here are my comments.
after my post, i hope other believers will post theirs comments about it.
Where did you get this belief from?
You bought it at the Religion shop like everyone else !
Exactly my idea. Some Believers try to say atheists confuse religion and faith in God.
I sat that at least every Christian does as well.
The Bible is a product or result of religion, not a source of religion. Hence every Bible based belief is from religion, not from God.
Without religious writings and religious tales, much less people would belief in god(s), and nobody would belief in a God called Jahweh who sent his son Jesus to die for our sins.
So, those who believe in non-personal gods might be true god-believers...all others think they have a direct line with gods but are really just following ideas coming from one religion or another.
The only people confused about the (non) separateness between God and religion are believers...
what is “the end of the world”?the phrase “the end of the world,” which appears in many bible translations, can also be rendered as “the conclusion of the system of things,” or “the close of the age.” (matthew 24:3;english standard version) it refers, not to the destruction of the earth or of all humanity, but to the end of the framework of human society.—1 john 2:17.. conveniently leaving out that according to current numbers and doctrine, 8.000.000 people will survive at max.. technically is not a destruction of all humanity....but it comes so close it deserves to be mentioned.. of course it isn't mentioned, because that would sound so extreme, cultish and unkind.
we wouldn't want people to get the right ideas about jw.organization now, would we?.

Yes, very smart business wise, from a human point of view. So after 120 years Jesus finds out worldly people are smart after all?
hello forum.
i started this topic because i had been thinking recently about a story that i had heard many times in different congregations over the years.
kind of a jw urban legend if you will.
Maybe you shouldn't pray while driving. Keep your eyes on the road ;-)

Is Iron Man real?
1) Exoskeleton and experimental jet packs exist, so the technology is hardly impossible.
2) Captain America spoke about Iron Man. He considered him real.
3) The USA, where Iron Man lives and works, is a real country! Many tourists have seen it's astonishing beauty while they visited the places where Iron Man fought his battles.
There is no good reason to doubt that Iron Man is more than just a story.
Yup. Seems legit!
